The last egg in the eagle’s nest at Norfolk Botanical Garden has hatched. The little one made its debut on the WVEC.com Eagle Cam at 7:11 a.m.
The first two eaglets hatched Saturday and Sunday in the nest that’s high up in a pine tree.
At 8:38 a.m. Monday, the WVEC.com Eagle Cam gave viewers a good look into the nest as the mother fed the two chicks. The third egg appeared to have a chip out of the shell, indicating it would hatch soon.
This is the fourth straight year this pair has had a three-egg clutch.
Last year, however, two eggs were broken.
